Frequently asked questions

What happens to formulas?

The computed values come across, not the formulas. CSV has no concept of a formula, so what you get is the numbers the sheet was showing.

Which sheet is used?

The first one in the workbook. Move the sheet you want to the front, or copy its cells and paste them here instead of uploading the file.

Does formatting survive?

No. Colours, merged cells and number formats are presentation, and CSV carries none of it. A merged cell contributes its value once and leaves the rest empty.

Is the file uploaded anywhere?

No, the workbook is parsed in the page. Worth knowing, because a spreadsheet is usually the least sanitised copy of whatever data it holds.
