Frequently asked questions

How do I know which seconds to enter?

Play the GIF and count from the start. If you need exact frame positions, split it with the GIF to frames tool first and count frames against the delay.

Are the kept frames re-encoded?

The frames you keep are written out as they were, so the picture quality of the trimmed section matches the original.

What happens to the loop?

The trimmed section becomes the new loop and repeats on its own. There is no gap or pause where the removed frames used to be.

Can I cut out a middle section and keep both ends?

Not in one pass. Cut each end separately, then join the two results with the GIF combine tool.
