Webhook Payload Inspector
Paste a webhook body and see it parsed into a readable tree, with the headers and signature fields separated from the event data.
How to use
- Paste the webhook body, headers included if you have them.
- The payload is parsed into a tree.
- Read the event fields and signature values.
Frequently asked questions
Why does my webhook signature not verify?
Almost always because the signature is computed over the raw body and your framework parsed and re-serialised it first. Key order and whitespace both change the hash.
What should I log from a webhook?
The event id, the type and the timestamp. Enough to detect a duplicate delivery without storing the whole payload, which usually carries customer data.
Why am I getting the same event twice?
Because delivery is at-least-once by design. Providers retry when they do not get a 2xx quickly, so handlers must be idempotent on the event id.
Is the payload uploaded anywhere?
No, it is parsed in the page. That matters, since a webhook body is often the most sensitive JSON you will paste into anything all week.
