Format AI Output — JSON & Markdown
Paste the JSON or Markdown a model handed back with its stray prose, code fences and trailing commas, and get a clean, indented block out.
How to use
- Paste the raw block a model returned.
- The cleaned JSON or Markdown appears as you type.
- Copy the formatted result.
Frequently asked questions
Why does model output not parse as JSON?
Usually three things: a wrapping code fence, a sentence of explanation before or after the object, and a trailing comma. All three are stripped here before parsing.
Does it fix genuinely broken JSON?
It fixes the common formatting damage. If keys are unquoted or a brace is missing entirely, it reports the parse error rather than guessing at what you meant.
What does it do with Markdown?
Normalises heading levels, list markers and indentation, and removes the stray fence markers models leave when they nest a code block inside a response.
Is my prompt output sent anywhere?
No. Parsing and formatting run in the page, which matters when the output you are cleaning up contains customer data or internal text.
